FAQs

FAQs

By what date shall we RSVP?

Kindly RSVP using the link here by August 30th, 2025

What is the dress code?

Formal Attire — have fun & dress up!
Ladies: Formal mid calf or floor-length dresses
Gents: Suit — tie encouraged but optional

Although it's October, expect warm Florida weather. Attire that is light, colorful, festive, and spring-inspired is perfect!  See our Pinterest board linked here for inspiration.  We kindly ask guests to avoid casual attire and dresses in shades of white or light blue.

At what time shall we arrive to the ceremony?

Please arrive between 5pm - 5:15pm.
Arrive early to grab a welcome beverage and seat for a prompt 5:30pm start.

Is there parking at the venue?

Complimentary valet parking is available at Venue 1902. Pull up to the front of the venue on 7th Street to be greeted by a valet attendant.

You may also self-park in the back parking lot on 8th Street.

Is There a hotel block?

A block of rooms has been reserved at The Westin Lake Mary with a special rate of $164/night for our guests.

Click here to book your room by September 26th! Card will be charged upon check-in — you may cancel up to 48 hours before.

May I bring a Guest?

Due to limited space, we can only accommodate those listed on your RSVP form.  However, if there is a long-term someone special we may not know about, please reach out to us. Thank you for understanding and being part of our intimate celebration!

Are children welcome?

We kindly request an 18 and older adults-only event due to the presence of an open bar and historical nature of the venue.

Will the event be hosted indoors or outdoors?

Pending weather, the ceremony will be held outdoors.  During the cocktail hour, guests have the option to be indoors or outdoors. The reception will be indoors.

What can we expect the weather to be like?

In mid-October, central Florida typically experiences warm and pleasant weather, with daytime temperatures in the mid-70s to 80s.  Evenings can be cooler, dropping into the low 70s and 60s.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes, we are delighted to offer an open bar featuring assorted spirits, beers, and wines!

How may I inform you of dietary restrictions?

Please reach out to Alexa or Josh via text or email to wedding@alexajosh.com to let us know about any severe dietary allergies or vegetarian needs.  We want to ensure everyone can enjoy the celebration safely!

Are you changing your last names after the wedding?

Yes, we both are! We’ve decided to combine parts of our last names, Goldberg and Otlin, to create Goldin. This new name reflects both of our families and symbolizes the life we’re building together. It’s our way of honoring where we came from while embracing this beautiful new chapter as one.

Theme Parks

If you're planning to explore a bit before or after the wedding, you’re just a short drive away from the theme park capital. Orlando is home to Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and SeaWorld. Since you're here in October, you'll get to enjoy all the special Halloween events these parks have to offer! From spooky shows and haunted houses to Halloween parties, it’s a fun time to experience the parks with a seasonal twist.

Our Story

We met in 2019 while working at Disney World—Josh was a lifeguard at the resorts, and Alexa was working at Animal Kingdom. Introduced through mutual friends, we quickly became close.  Josh was always making Alexa laugh, and over time, things turned into something more. What started as a friendship grew into love—and into a relationship where we’re truly best friends.

Over the years, we’ve grown together—supporting each other through career growth, moving into our first and now second shared homes, and rescuing our two cats, Bindi and Bree, at just four weeks old. Bindi’s name is inspired by Alexa’s time in Australia (because naturally, she had to include something Aussie). Bree was inspired by our shared love of cheese… yes, really!

In 2023, Josh proposed on a beautiful beach in Cozumel, Mexico during a cruise. We were walking along the shore when, before Alexa knew it, Josh was down on one knee. It was a moment full of surprise, joy, and love—one we’ll always remember.

Now we’re excited for our next chapter together: saying “I do” and celebrating with all of you this October!
